This momma and sweet friend is the person who introduced me to the world of home birth years ago, so needless to say I owe her a lot. When I showed up at her house for the birth I remember thinking she had a while left - she was so calm and present. Jokes on me because her third little lady joined us shortly after I arrived. It was so sweet watching her older kids huddled with grandma watching in anticipation of their new sibling while her sisters supported her through her labor. The sisterhood was strong on all fronts and it was so special to witness.

This lady's newborn session couldn't have gone better! This family nailed it. Big brother as batman? You betcha! Camera happy fur baby? YUP. I am willing to bet that in 20 years batmans parents will remember and chuckle at his determination to wear his costume far more than they would have remembered picking out matching outfits. This family is picture perfect and it was such an honor to document them in all their glory! Oh and the momma of this tribe is Jen of Mumda. Super star doula/ local business owner. But before I get to the meat and potatoes of the session I have to stop and chuckle at what a perfectly posed little newborn this sweet girl was when I walked in.
