Three. How are we here already? For months when I asked you if you were ready to use the toilet you would tell me “tomorrow. I pee pee on the potty tomorrow” kind of like how smokers always plan to quit “tomorrow”. But you finally ditched the diapers and your last link to babyhood is gone. But you are still my baby.
Your love for George has faded which breaks my heart, but it’s still there from time to time. Whatever the case you still LOVE monkeys. Your current monkey favorite is “the big monkey” from the jungle book. You talk about him all the time and constantly sing his theme some “I want to be like youuuuu”.
You are so shy when we’re out in public but so loud at home. I love being your safe space. You absolutely love story time and get so excited when we get ready to head to the library - but as soon as we get there you stay in my lap and mostly silent. You do perk up for the parashoot and run to Mrs. Alex to get the shakey eggs and scarves.
You also love power rangers (a lot), tools, dinosaurs, and (try as I might to discourage it) guns. Your imagination is blowing up. You like to pretend there are “bad guys” and shoot them and play all sorts of silly games with your littlest big sister. You two are attached at the hip. We found a big red and blue power ranger at Good Will not too long ago. You went through a phase where you carried around the red ranger and demanded your dad carry the blue ranger at all times (to work, to the store, to sleep - everywhere).
I love you so much my sweet boy. Three looks good on you.
